Alpha Phi Omega
Founded by Frank Reed Horton on December 16, 1925 at Lafayette College, Alpha Phi Omega is a service fraternity founded on the principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service. Over the years it has become the largest collegiate service organization in the world, with more than 400,000 members on over 375 campuses.
The Cornell University chapter of Alpha Phi Omega was chartered on February 17, 1927. While we were the third chapter to be founded, we are currently the longest continuously running chapter since we have never become inactive. Our original charter lists 17 members; today we have become one of Cornell’s largest student organizations with over 400 active members.
