Bill Of Rights
Brotherhood Rights:
- To know consequences of actions.
- To have an opportunity to learn.
- To have exceptions granted in the face of extenuating
circumstances.
- To attend Pledge Program events/activities.
- To express thoughts and concerns about the Pledge Program and its
execution.
- To modify the Pledge Program during the semester with a majority
vote.
- Not to be forced into uncomfortable situations.
- Not to be hazed by Pledges or other Brothers.
- To seek assistance of third party if problems with Pledges arise.
Brother Responsibilities:
- To know and not contradict Pledge requirements and their content.
- To provide an environment conducive to learning.
- To express thoughts and concerns about the Pledge Program and its
execution in a productive and effective manner.
- To continue to learn from the Pledges and the Pledge Program.
- To encourage pledges to learn.
- Not to pressure Pledges about their requirements.
- To understand what hazing is, not haze Pledges or Brothers.
- To discourage potential hazing situations.
- Not to make requests or demands on Pledges that could not be
expected to be made upon Brothers or oneself.
- To help all the Pledges.
- Not to "campaign" for Little Brothers.
- To keep personalopinions or biases separate from the Pledges and
Pledging Program so as not to adversely influence Pledges.
- To express grievances in accordance with Chapter Grievance Policy.
- Not to involve pledges in Brotherhood conflicts.
- To respect other fraternity members as people with individual
concerns and ideas.
- To know and adhere to ALL chapter and fraternity policies.
- To be a positive role model.
- To act maturely and responsibly.
- To exemplify the principles of Brotherhood to the best of ones
ability.
